Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force has recently announced about the recruitment of 287 Posts Constable (Tradesman) K. ITBP Constable Tradesman Selection Process:

The selection will be conducted in three stages- Phase-I consists of Height Bar and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Trade Test. Phase-II will consist of written test and merit list. Phase-III will include verification of original documents and detailed medical examination. Candidates have to clear them step by step to face the next exam. If candidates pass one exam then will be able to next exam.

Exam Pattern , The exam pattern is as follows:

  • The examination will be of written objective type.
  • The exam will be of 50 marks with 50 questions.
  • The question paper will be set bilingually in Hindi and English.
  • The time duration of the exam will be 01 hour.

ITBP Constable Tradesman Syllabus:

Exam Syllabus , The exam syllabus is as follows:

General Awareness / General Knowledge: The questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates’ general awareness of the environment around them. The questions will also be designed to test the knowledge of current events and such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions related to India and its neighboring countries, especially questions related to sports, history, culture, geography, economic scene, general polity, Indian constitution, scientific research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require special study. of any discipline.

Elementary Mathematics Knowledge: This question paper will include questions related to Number System, Calculation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and Relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetic Operations, Percentages, Ratios and Proportions, Average, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance Will be , Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.

Analytical aptitude and ability to see and distinguish patterns: It will include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. Questions will be asked from Similarities, Similarities and Differences, Problem Solving, Relationships, Arithmetic Calculations and other Analytical Functions, Venn Diagrams, Relationship Concepts and Ability to See and Distinguish Patterns, etc.,

To test the basic knowledge of the candidates in English/Hindi: Mainly focus on topics like Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Error, Sentence Correction, Fill in the Blanks, Comprehension and Cloze Test etc.

merit list

Merit list will be made on the basis of trade test and written test. While computing the combined marks, 60% weightage will be given to the marks obtained by the candidate in the written test and 40% weightage will be given to the marks obtained in the trade test.

Before appearing in the medical test candidates need to verify all the required documents for verification.
