Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will conduct the 15th edition for the candidate to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII.

About CTET:-

The essential qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any school referred to in clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act is that he must pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). Which will be conducted by the appropriate Government as per the guidelines framed by NCTE.

CTET Eligibility

The minimum educational qualification to become a teacher for class IV (primary stage,

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

either

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002 OR pass .

either

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

either

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.

either

Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)”

“(a) who has acquired the qualification of education or graduation from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher for classes I to V, provided the person appointed as a teacher must compulsorily Six months Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE within two years of such appointment as Primary Teacher.

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

either

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

either

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

either

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

either

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

either

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A./ B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed.

either

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (special education)*.

either

Any candidate having B.Ed. program recognized by NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Further, as per the extant TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing teacher education course (recognized by NCTE or RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE notification. Qualified to appear in TET/CTET as on 23rd August 2010 also.

CTET Application fee ,

Service Charges and Service Tax (as applicable) Bank will charge extra,

SC / ST / Diff. competent person Rupee. 500/- Rupee. 600/-

Fees can be remitted in the following ways:
Through Challan by depositing the prescribed fee in CBSE Account with Syndicate Bank or HDFC Bank in favor of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.
By Debit/Credit Card.

Validity of CTET –

According to the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) news, the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be valid for life.

How to Apply for CTET Online Form 2022,

Candidates can apply ‘On-line’ through CTET website (www.ctet.nic.in) The candidate should supply all the details while filling the online form and upload the scanned images of photograph and signature. After successful submission of the data, candidates have to take a printout of the confirmation page for the record and keep it for their reference. The confirmation page need not be sent to the CTET unit.

Steps to Apply Online CTET 2022,

  • step 1: Log on to the official website of CTET www.ctet.nic.in.
  • step 2: Go to the “Apply Online” link and open it.
  • step 3: Fill the online application form and note down the registration number / application number.
  • step 4: Upload scanned images of latest photograph and signature

  • Step 6: Record and print the confirmation page for future reference.
