About Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU),
Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) is a public university in India. Started in 1972, the university initially functioned from Mohanpur House in Sara Mohanpur village on the Darbhanga-Sakri road. In 1975, it was shifted to the premises of Raj Darbhanga. The university is located in Darbhanga city, Mithila, an ancient cultural region of northern India situated between the lower range of the Himalayas and the river Ganges. The university offers education in areas such as humanities, social sciences, life sciences, commerce and medicine with both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. More than 400 faculties are engaged in teaching and research.
